Your Acceptance of These Terms

By registering as a Member or Subscriber, you signify your acceptance of all provisions of this Privacy Policy as set forth herein. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not continue your MCOL Membership or Subscription. MCOL will refund any paid Membership or subscription fees on a pro rate basis as of the date you notify MCOL that you do not agree to these terms. Your continued MCOL Membership or Subscription following the posting of changes to these policies will mean that you accept those changes. Registration and Collection of Personal Information

Upon registration, Members or Subscribers are asked to supply applicable contact information, Email address, Web Site Username and Password you would like to use, Membership or Subscription level you desire, and for Paid Members, Payment Information. Username, Passwords and Payment Information are processed by MCOL on a secure basis and are never shared with Third Parties (except for specific secured payment information provided to designated financial transaction institutions and processing services in order to process specific Member or Subscriber payments.)

Limitation on Use of Collected E-Mail Addresses and other Contact Information

MCOL may provide individual Member or Subscriber email addresses and or other contact information to entities with an ownership interest in MCOL or entities that MCOL also shares an ownership interest in. MCOL may also provide to Sponsoring Entities applicable individual Member or Subscriber email addresses and or other contact information that have registered for specific items sponsored by the Sponsoring Entity. MCOL will not otherwise sell, exchange or share Member or Subscriber e-mail addresses to any other party or organization without the explicit permission of the user. MCOL reserves the right to transfer title of its e-mail and other contact information to a third party at any time.

Data Integrity and Purpose Limitation

Personal information you provide to us is used to process your membership or subscription, manage your account, deliver the services you request (including communicating with you about your subscription), and to respond to your inquiries and contact you our content and services on the basis of your consent and may be used in a number of ways including subscriptions to MCOL publications or announcements, including e-newsletters; and to access certain features or functions of our content. MCOL takes reasonable steps to ensure that the personal data that it processes is: (i) relevant for the purposes for which it is to be used, (ii) reliable for its intended use, and (iii) accurate, complete and current. MCOL uses reasonable technological and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. MCOL follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once received. The MCOL Data Privacy Officer has primary responsibility to oversee MCOL processing of personal data in this regard. The Member Web Site and e-Newsletters contain links to other sites. MCOL is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web Sites, including any sites that may indicate a special relationship or partnership with MCOL, such as co-branded pages and "powered by" relationships. MCOL does not disclose Contact or Payment Information to those responsible for the linked sites. The linked sites, however, may collect personal information from you when you link to their site. This collecting of information is not subject to MCOL's control. To ensure protection of your privacy, always review the privacy policy of the sites you visit by linking from our Member Web Site or e-Newsletters.

Notification of Changes

This Privacy Policy may be revised over time. The most recent update date of this policy will always appear at the beginning of this policy. We do, however, recommend that you read this Privacy Policy each time you use this Web Site.

Correcting, Updating or Deleting Information 

MCOL also permits you to correct, update or delete personal Information that you have previously provided to us. To do so, contact MCOL indicating the contact information that you wish to be corrected, updated or deleted, and MCOL will process your request in accordance with the provisions set forth in this policy. You may also request MCOL to send you an electronic copy of your personal data for your review.

E-Mail Opt-Out Procedures

You may always opt-out of receiving applicable future e-mails from us. Unsubscribe instructions are provided in Member e-Newsletters or Announcements for each applicable Member e-mail distribution list. You may also contact MCOL directly at any time to request opting out of applicable e-mailings. Please note, unsubscribing from one applicable distribution list may not necessarily cancel  subscriptions to other applicable e-mail distribution lists, unless you contact MCOL and request cancellation of all e-mailings.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information at any time without penalty;
  • Access your personal information and have it corrected, amended or deleted;
  • Receive a copy of your personal data and transit such to others;
  • At any time, to object to our processing of your personal information which we will comply with unless we demonstrate a compelling legitimate grounds for processing such that overrides your rights; and
  • If you believe your personal information is inaccurate, unlawful, no longer necessary for our business purposes, or if you object to our processing of your personal information, you also have the right to instruct us to restrict the processing of your data pending our investigation and/or verification of your claim.
  • If you wish to raise a complaint and initiate an investigation on how we have handled your personal data, or request a copy of your personal information, please contact us. We reserve the right to impose a charge for any direct external costs we would incur in responding to your request.
