Archie Sanford is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of MCOL.  Mr. Sanford brings the technical expertise in the area of information technology.  He has been the driving force behind the development of MCOL’s products.  He makes the ideas a reality.  He has expertise in systems architecture, GUI design, and features programming.  At MCOL he is responsible for all aspects of development and management of all computer technology.

Mr. Sanford has over 23 years experience in software and systems development.  Prior to co-founding MCOL Mr. Sanford held increasingly responsible positions with E & J Gallo, the largest winery in the world.  He was responsible for the development and management of strategic winery systems to support domestic and international business activities.  He spent 20 years with E & J Gallo developing systems to enable all critical business functions including customer service, sales, marketing, distribution, finance, accounting, purchasing, production/resource, quality assurance/control, marketing/sales/production forecasting, inventory and human resources management.  He was an active member of management teams responsible for evaluation and selection of development methodologies and associated tools and facilities.  The scope of his work began with feasibility and moved along the continuum to post-implementation, management and customer service.  Prior to his position with E & J Gallo Mr. Sanford was a Senior Systems Analyst for Bank of America.

Mr. Sanford embodies depth and breadth of theoretical and technical expertise in all aspects of systems development.  He has also developed and taught classes to both technical and non-technical personnel in the use of various computer software and hardware facilities.  He has instructed at the college level in mathematics and systems development.

Mr. Sanford has significant experience and expertise with a large variety of hardware and software applications.  These include a variety of computers, communication devices, printers, optical scanners and bar code readers, operating environments, system interfaces, networking systems, communication monitors, programming languages, data base access/language, utilities, system development, project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Mr. Sanford earned his Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from University of California, Santa Barbara; his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from California State University, Stanislaus and holds a California Community College Instructor Credential.  In addition, Mr. Sanford has continually participated in continued education programs to maintain his cutting edge expertise in both hardware and software development and management.
